Andrea (Bucker) Overton is currently employed as the Adult Audiology Supervisor for the University of
North Carolina Hospital’s Department of Audiology. She primarily sees adult cochlear implant and
auditory brainstem implant recipients in combination with administrative duties associated with
supervising both the UNC Adult Cochlear Implant Program and UNC Adult Hearing Aid Program.
Additionally, Dr. Overton is an Adjunct Instructor for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Department of Audiology’s Cochlear Implant Course. Dr. Overton received her Bachelor’s Degree in
Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2011 and earned her
doctorate in Audiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015.
