The Thomas Balkany Institute for Cochlear Implant Training (ICIT) is dedicated to enhancing clinical outcomes in cochlear implantation by providing advanced training for CI surgeons, audiologists, and other hearing health professionals, and by expanding access to quality care.
Founded in 2012 by Dr. Thomas Balkany, ICIT offers hybrid-style courses that combine synchronous, web-based didactic training with weekly live web classes and hands-on workshops, including a temporal bone lab for surgeons and an advanced programming practicum for audiologists.
